Simplified Perfection on Blogspot

Ola! Welcome to my first ever legit blog site. Just an FYI to everyone who is visiting and will visit my blog, I started blogging when I was in college using Tumblr. However, my first blog was more of a diary wherein I pour out all of my emotions. Example, when I feel happy, infatuated, in love, or down, I always open my Tumblr account and post whatever was going on in my mind and in my heart. Since it was a diary, I was using mixed languages such as English, Filipino, and Hiligaynon (a language used in Region VI of the Philippines) thus, only a few would understand what I was voicing out.

When I turned 21, I decided to put up another blog via Tumblr and I named it, Simplified Perfection. The reason behind why I called my second blog as such is because these two words (root words), Simple and Perfect , are oftentimes viewed as contrasting words. We tend to generalize "Perfection" as something that is perplexed. Thing is, the real feeling of "perfection" is achieved when it is in its simplest form.

As for how does it relate to my blog, well, my goal is for readers to find my posts simple so they would easily grasp the my message on every blog post but very compelling at the same time. I hope I'd be able to achieve this goal of mine in this blog despite the fact that I loathe writing.

Yes, I detest writing. Though I participated on every journalism seminars and workshops since elementary days, I never felt the extreme passion for it. It seems that I wasn't born with such skill and I was never made to be one. If we rate it on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 as highest of course), I rate myself as -1%. I was, am, and perhaps will never be as good as my classmates or colleagues. If I remembered it right, my college professor would often tell me that I sound "trying hard" when I write. I cannot accept it at first but as time goes by, I realize that he has a point.

However, I always hold on to an old saying that constant practicing and enhancing will make you better. That is why challenged myself to have a blog. I wouldn't care if I my improvement is or will be gradual at least I am taking small steps to become a good writer.
